Celebrating the Launch of our book ‘Dialogues’ with our friend Steffi
Last week we enjoyed a lovely afternoon with dear Steffi in our studio, to show her our new book 'Dialogues' in collaboration with Frama Cph and celebrated it with cake and iced coffee.
Steffi has a wonderful blog called Ohhhmhhh and if you are not familiar with it yet, have a look guys! We already worked with Steffi on other projects, but never met her in person so far, so it was a real pleasure to spend a whole afternoon together, just talk, laugh the whole day and celebrate ‘Dialogues’ (here is a small preview). The strange thing is, that you really think you know a person, only beacuse you wrote mails and talked on the telephone and nothing is better when the first meeting is filled with so much joy and it almost feels like, as you really met many times before already.
Nora baked a cake recipe from the book – a gluten-free zucchini-poppyseed lemon cake – and we all enjoyed it so much. We love zucchini in cakes since we posted this recipe on the blog, but the recipe we made for the Dialogues book is our favorite cake with zucchini so far. The cake is easy to prepare and so delicious. The perfect gluten-free treat for a warm summer day together with an iced coffee. You can also take it away so easily for a summer picnic.
Steffi made a video of our little cake-gathering and you can see it on her blog tomorrow morning. So have a look! For now we hope you enjoy the pictures from our lovely day in the studio and if you haven’t ordered the Dialogues-Book yet, you can use the promocode “framaweekend” here until tonight to save the shipping costs. If you haven’t read the post about the book and what it is about yet, check it out in this post. Happy sunday guys!
German Translation
Schaut also unbedingt vorbei, wenn Ihr Lust habt.

I just received your book & was really excited to get it, but have to say it's a little disappointing. Yes the pictures are gorgeous as always, and the paper and graphic design too. But there aren't enough recipes to justify the high price in my opinion. More importantly I wished you (or the publishers) worked with a copy editor as there are so many mistakes and typos in the recipes.
For example on page 97 - you don't have an English version for the honey-tomato topping, only two German versions; on page 105 you don't provide measurements for cream of tartar and cinnamon; on page 115 you say 1 ginger but how big or how much?; in some recipes it says 1 garlic and in some it says 1 clove garlic; on page 141 it says 1 chili, but chili in English can mean fresh, dried and it's also name of a dish; on page 177 you list 70g whipped cream, but you clearly mean heavy cream as it gets heated and then turned into chocolate cream - you can't do that with whipped cream because it's already whipped.
I could go on like this - the instructions are very clumsy too as they were clearly translated from German and with a lot of ingredients a literal translation doesn't work.
I'm sorry I'm being critical - I'm sure you devoted a lot of time to the project and I love your work - that's why I sat down and wrote this long email. :) Maybe there will be another printing and you can work with someone who will pay attention to details. As you know those are important when cooking and especially baking.

Dear Mike,
thanks so much for your long comment, we really understand it and totally feel the same. We have only done the german recipes and the english ones were translated by the publisher. Unfortunately we didn't got the chance to see them before..there should be an errata in every book for exactly that reason! When have you ordered / recieved your copy and was there no errata with it? Those mistakes will definitely not be in the second edition..So sorry!!
