*in collaboration with Menu

After we have renovated our beloved old schoolhouse last year (see how it looked before in this post) we’ve been so happy that we could finally move in just the day before Christmas. It’s been a little bit more of renovation work than we initially planned and thought, so we are very relieved and grateful to be finished now (although of course you are never really finished with a house) and we will show you more of the whole house and garden during the next weeks. So far we have shared the kitchen make-over with you and today we want to focus on the living room and give you a little glimpse into the hallway. Half of the living room used the be a bedroom before, the floors were painted red and the walls orange, the windows were simple plastic windows. We also teared out a wall to have more space, so we could add our dining table and a little home office shelf. When it came to decorating and furnishing the room we took a lot of things with us from our former studio in Berlin, but also added a few new pieces. We are excited to team up with Menu for this post, one of our all time favorite interior brands. We absolutely love the timeless yet modern design from Menu, the great quality of their products and the wonderful selection they offer. One of  our most loved items is the Knitting Lounge Chair from Menu. Thanks to the sheepskin it’s so cozy that you don’t want to get up again and definitely a favorite morning coffee spot of ours. We choose it in natural oak and also really like the unique shape of the chairs. Another favorite is the tall plinth table from Menu – the rose calatta viola marble is just simply stunning and it’s the ideal spot for our wooden sculpture from Nicholas Shurey.
It was really important for us to find a comfortable chair for our little office corner and with the fully upholstered Co Dining Chair we found the perfect one!
During the renovation we realized that it’s not always easy to find beautiful lamps, so when we discovered the beautiful Bank Pendant ceiling lamps we knew these have to be installed in the hallway and we are so happy with the result, as it really matches so well with the floor.
The latest product news from Menu and also the best choice to get for the upcoming autumn season, are the beautiful linen cushions and the luxurious Battus Throw.
The inner cushion is made from 100% recycled polyester filler, originally derived from plastic bottles. The cover of the inner cushion is also made from polyester, ensuring the product is mono-material. We really love the ochre tone for autumn, but check out all the other beautiful colors from the pillows and throws too! And now the most exciting part: we have a GIVE-AWAY for you guys! You can get one throw and one pillow in the color of your choice. All you have to do is comment this post. The give-away is for all our European readers and we will contact the winner via email. The give-away ends this Sunday (26th of September 2021)on 23:59 o’clock. Good luck everyone!
We hope you enjoyed our little tour, we can’t wait to share more of the house with you soon.
