Spring is in the air and the days are finally longer and lighter again, you can hear all the beautiful birds singing and there is so much sunshine! Also all the lovely spring flower bouquets are just so stunning and bring in some freshness after this long and cold winter! I finally did a little update with the guest bedroom in my house – this room had been a studio and an office before and whenever I had friends staying over I could only offer the sofa in my living room, so once we had our studio renovations finished last summer I knew I wanted to transform this room. There is still some empty space but the first important piece of furniture made it in – this super cozy and beautiful bed from Matri. We are long time collaborators with Matri and also have their beds at St. Oak – if you slept in it once you never want to sleep in another bed 🙂
I decided to go for the Hilja Continental bed which consists exclusively of high quality natural materials that are eco-certified and create a natural, breathable, and safe sleeping environment.  The bed consists of a lower bed, a mattress and the Hilja mattress topper for additional comfort. Have a look here to browse through all of their options and of course you can also choose your headboard. I went for the Slim Round Headboard and the fabric is called “Moyo Boucle” which is just super timeless and cozy. And to add even more to the coziness factor of course there had to be breakfast in bed! Nora just made this new gluten-free carrot cake recipe, which is incredibly tasty! You can find the recipe along with some analog shots of the same scene over on Substack. I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful spring sunshine!
