It’s been a while since we’ve shared anything from our schoolhouse. Many photo productions for clients and especially the preparation and organization for the future studio building project took up most of our time, but we really want to share many blog posts about food and interior regularly again. And hopefully some home tours soon too.
Autumn has arrived and we are again spending more time in the living room than on the garden terrace, with lots of tea and candles for a cozy atmosphere.
We were able to save the beautiful old wooden floorboards in the living room during the renovation and that´s why we don´t have underfloor heating there. And because of this, it can get cold on your feet in autumn and winter. Now we really wanted a warm fluffy carpet in the living room. By chance we became aware of the carpet company Cappelen Dimyr, because we traveled a lot in Sweden and follow a few Swedish Instagram accounts. One of the accounts is from Ellen Dixdotter who is the co-founder of Cappelen Dimyr. Anyone who already recognzies the brand, knows, how beautiful and at the same time cozy the carpets look. We decided for the rug “no. 10” and are so thrilled. It is fluffy, but still elegant and the bright cream-color brings light into the living room and makes the darker wood tones look much better. And above all it is super comfortable for the feet.
To bring autumn into the living room, we grabbed a few branches with colorful leaves from the garden and got ourselves a beautiful orange and yellow berry branch at our favorite flower shop.
Now we often sit with our laptops – one on the &tradition Fly Sofa and one on the cozy Menu Knitting Chair, with tea and our dogs on our laps as extra hot water bottles :))

Es ist schon eine Weile her, seitdem wir etwas aus unserem Schulhaus geteilt haben. Viele Kundenaufträge und v.a. die Vorbereitung zum Studio-Bau haben die meiste unserer Zeit in Anspruch genommen, aber wir möchten unbedingt wieder regelmäßig schöne Blogposts rund ums Essen und Interior teilen. Und hoffentlich auch bald mal wieder ein paar Home-Tours.
Der Herbst hat begonnen und wir verbringen jetzt wieder mehr Zeit im Wohnzimmer als auf der Terrasse, mit viel Tee und Kerzen für die gemütliche Stimmung.
Wir haben bei der Renovierung die schönen alten Holzdielen im Wohnzimmer retten können und deswegen dort keine Fußbodenheizung. Dadurch wird es im Herbst und Winter schonmal kalt an den Füßen. Nun wollten wir unbedingt einen warmen flauschigen Teppich im Wohnzimmer. Durch Zufall sind wir auf die Teppich-Firma Cappelen Dimyr aufmerksam geworden, da wir viel in Schweden unterwegs waren und einigen schwedischen Instagram-Accounts folgen. Einer der Accounts ist von Ellen Dixdotter, die die Mit-Gründerin von Cappelen Dimyr ist. Wer die Marke schon kennt, weiß bestimmt wie wunderschön und gleichzeitig gemütlich die Teppiche aussehen. Wir haben uns für den Teppich “no. 10” entschieden und sind so begeistert. Er ist flauschig, aber trotzdem elegant und die helle Creme-Farbe bringt Licht ins Wohnzimmer und läßt die dunkleren Holztöne besser wirken. Und v.a. ist er super-angenehm für die Füße.
Um den Herbst ins Wohnzimmer zu holen, haben wir uns ein paar Laubäste mit bunten Blättern aus dem Garten geholt und einen wunderschönen orange-gelben Beeren-Ast bei unserem Lieblings-Blumenladen gegönnt.
Jetzt sitzen wir oft mit dem Laptops – einer auf dem &tradition Fly Sofa und einer auf dem cozy Menu Knitting Chair, mit Tee und unseren Hunden auf dem Schoß als extra Wärmflaschen :))
