When Eva asked us if we want to come to one of her’s and Carey’s “First We Eat” Workshop in France, we were so excited! Their workshops always look truly stunning and if you remember this post you know that we’ve already met Eva in Berlin in our studio last year, which was a wonderful afternoon with lot’s of good and funny talks and delicious food. So we’ve been really looking forward to spend time together again! The chateau were the workshop took place was just magical. Around an hour from Bordeaux, located in the countryside, you had a stunning view over the hillside vineyard. The room were we enjoyed all our breakfasts and dinners had the most beautiful windows (and gorgeous light!) and we would have loved to take the old and charming windows home with us 🙂 Every day the whole group had breakfast together, before the styling and photography lessons started. It was wonderful to meet so many creative ladies and watch and feel this strong passion that we all shared for food and photography. For the styling and photography lessons our sweet and talented friend Linda baked the stunning orange fig cake and the beautiful madeleines that you can see in the photos. Aren’t they just gorgeous?! We definitely want to come up with a gluten-free madeleines recipe soon! On the last day Nora spontaneously baked a cake as well and we made a little outdoor set up for the attendees. Will show you this one in another post (we made way to many pictures, you could basicly photograph every single corner in the chateau!) and also share the recipe for the pear cake that you might have seen in our instagram stories already. Eva’s and Carey’s lessons and teachings have been so good and so much fun! If you ever consider to participate in a workshop and don’t know which one to book, you should go for the “First We Eat“. Eva and Carey are such talented photographers, great cooks and just the best teachers and hosts! They are so sweet, open and kind and we feel grateful to know such welcoming people. Thanks  to everyone for making this week so special, we really had a fantastic time at this magical workshop in France.
