As we already told you in our visit Skåne post, we also went to Malmö while we were in Skåne and we are so excited to share more about a wonderful day in this beautiful city with you today!

Together with our dear friend Ezgi we had only 1 day in Malmö, but still managed to see many charming and lovely places. You can really find a lot of cool cafés and restaurants in Malmö and we especially liked the old part of the town with all it’s pretty and colorful houses. Very close to that area you find Slottstradgarden, a beautiful park with an old windmill were we enjoyed our morning picnic, that you can see in the photos. Our dear friend Linda recommended us to go to Butik Fabrik (a very nice vintage shop) and to the restaurant Mineral, which we all loved! We really enjoyed our day a lot and already can’t wait to come back another time 🙂 If you plan a visit as well, here you go for our favorite spots to enjoy a perfect day in Malmö:

start the day with a breakfast and picnic 
Jord Café
Our first stop in the morning was the beautiful Jord Café. We loved the minimalistic yet cozy style and that they also serve vegan options. We decided to take some coffee and a breakfast with us for a breakfast picnic at the park and we were super happy with the coffee and food they offer. Definitely a big recommendation!

Slottstradgarden
In the middle of the city you can find this dreamy park and you immediately get the feeling you are in the countryside. It was so quite, when we visited this park and we just loved to walk along the dreamy paths and to discover so many birds while walking through the whole park. Our favorite about this park was the old windmill – so charming! And that’s where we also decided to enjoy our morning picnic – with a wonderful view towards the windmill.

Butik Fabric
If you are into vintage furniture and are always looking for charming props, this is the place! Butik Fabric offers a very nice selection of old and beautiful things with patina and you can image that we didn’t left the store with empty bags 🙂 We bought a beautiful candle holder and some lovely ceramics and will always think of our day in Malmö when we use these.

Florera

You know how much we love flowers and plants, so of course we had to find a super lovely flower shop in Malmö. When we passed by Florera  we already fell in love with the beautiful store, when we saw it from the other street with all the plants outside. We ended up buying a lovely ginko plant, but could have easily buy the whole store as they have a wonderful selection of plants, flowers and little souvenirs.

Afternoon break – explore some of Malmös very good coffee shops

Atrium
A very stylish cafè in a cute street, that also sells some plants. We absolutely loved their menu and next to very good coffee we also enjoyed their beetroot latte. The whole atmosphere at Atrium is wonderful and they also have a charming little outdoor area, where you can sit outside. We took their pavlova with lemon curd and a toast with cream cheese and blueberries – such a good idea!

AB Småland
Another wonderful café in the shopping street of Malmö. Next to delicious (also vegan) treats you can enjoy coffee and very good apple juice and lemonades at AB Småland. They also sell a lot of beautiful vintage furniture, a photographers dream! You can buy almost all furniture that you see, also the chairs that you sit on in the café 🙂

Enjoy a wonderful dinner in one of Malmös many good restaurants to end the day

We had so many good options where to have dinner, but thanks to our dear friend Linda Lomelino we ended up at Mineral Malmö and just fell in love with the whole space in the moment we entered the restaurant. Such a special and relaxed vibe, a stunning interior and very delicious food! Definitely go there, when you visit Malmö!
We really enjoyed our day in Malmö and are already looking forward to return to this lovely city soon.
